We are excited to announce that Owl Moon is actively recruiting volunteers! Our volunteers are essential to OMRC's mission of rehabilitating birds of prey (owls, hawks, eagles, osprey +) and returning them to the wild. This is a great opportunity to see the birds up close while you help to maintain their enclosures and diet.
If you are interested in becoming part of our team, please email us at info@owlmoon.org.
Position details:
• We require volunteers to work one regular weekly shift at least 4 hours in length
• Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
• Introductory tasks include food prep and cleaning. It is IMPORTANT to note that raptors are carnivores so volunteers will need to handle, clean, and portion their food (rodents and quail)
• Opportunity to assist with treatment and daily care after gaining training and experience
• Volunteers generally work outside, however, mostly under cover
