As temperatures start to rise, nesting season begins for our raptor friends! You may see pairs of hawks, owls, vultures, and more visiting tops of nearby trees and other suitable sites, starting their nest building activities. As nesting season transitions into baby season, you can help us in two ways:
First, let us know about active raptor nests in your area. Did you know that raptor parents will adopt other raptor babies in need? This means they can help us rehome orphaned babies. Provide the details here: https://forms.gle/MEUQdKNV6CA6pYFD9
Second, we could use your donations! We get a large number of baby birds from March thru July, and treatment can be expensive. If you can help, visit https://owlmoon.org/how-to-help/donate.html for details about how to donate.
We appreciate your assistance! And remember, it is illegal to approach a nest without proper permits. Getting too close is dangerous for the birds—and also dangerous for you, as parents will protect the babies.
