With the end of Daylight Savings Time, be sure to watch out for raptors and other animals during this time of adjustment. The time change impacts them too, with our daytime activity (including rush hour) overlapping more with the hunting times of owls and other nocturnal birds. Also, from their perspective we are suddenly going to be out an hour later than we were yesterday.
Please take care as you drive in twilight and dark times, and watch out for our feathered friends. If you see an owl or other raptor on the ground that may have been hit by a car or sustained other injuries, call Owl Moon. An impact injury could cause unseen problems, like blindness or concussion. Without evaluation and treatment, the bird could have long-term issues that affect its ability to hunt.
