Alex Pellegrini runs the Farmland Raptor Program at the Maryland Bird Conservation Partnership, which works to slow and reverse the decline of raptors that benefit farmers by preying on mice, voles, and insects, and that require large areas of grassland or farmland to nest successfully, including Barn Owls, American Kestrels, Northern Harriers, and Short-Eared Owls. Alex’s talk at Owl Moon’s November 8 festival will highlight his recent research on farmland owls. Learn more about the Farmland Raptor Project here!
